Position Overview:
The role involves supporting the Cost Accountant in the planning, analysis, and data collection necessary to assess the costs associated with business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in month-end closing processes related to product costing.
2. Simulate estimated product costs in conjunction with productivity initiatives.
3. Analyze actual manufacturing expenses and generate monthly reports comparing standard costs to actual production expenses.
4. Prepare monthly variance and scrap analyses.
5. Conduct audits of costs and compile reports.
6. Manage physical inventories and oversee the cycle count program.
7. Support various ad hoc projects and reporting needs.
8. Advise fixed asset requestors on appropriate timelines for capitalizing fixed assets, including useful life considerations.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
Proficiency in SAP is essential; experience with Oracle is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Candidates should be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of navigating ambiguity and change.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal) are required.
