Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on denied claims, unadjudicated claims, and overpaid claims by third-party payers.
Provide timely and accurate reporting on trends and issues related to payers, CPT/HCPCS codes, and DX codes.
Job Functions:
- Work all denials to ensure timely follow-up, appeals, and rebills
- File claims to secondary/tertiary payers with appropriate documentation
- Work assigned AR for outstanding accounts for resolution
- Work assigned payer credit report for resolution to overpayments from payers
- Maintain a write-off log to report to management for approval
- Assist with client account inquiries
- Report any trending or payer issues to management
- Maintain payer websites and stay current on payer policy changes to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
This role will start in Harrodsburg, KY, but will transition to a fully remote position once training is completed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of Revenue Cycle experience preferred
- 1+ year of experience in Behavioral Health preferred
- 2+ years of background in Primary Care/FQHC billing or accounts receivable preferred
- Working knowledge of eClinical Works EMR preferred
