Position Overview
The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing care operations within specialized departments to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality patient services. This role involves implementing, educating, and ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations that govern personnel, patients, medical staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and manage patient care assignments as necessary to maintain optimal service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing personnel while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience as a staff nurse is required, with prior experience in a charge nurse role preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida and possess BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association.
Additional Skills:
Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
