Pet Services Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Services Attendant to join our team at GoDog. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our canine guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage with dogs in our Daycare and Boarding facility, providing a safe and positive environment for all.
  • Monitor playgroups to prevent any aggressive or unsafe behavior, intervening when necessary to ensure the well-being of all dogs.
  • Water, feed, and clean up after dogs, following specific dietary instructions and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility, including lobby, common spaces, and storage areas.
  • Ensure accurate usage of PetExec & Slack software for seamless communication between departments and accurate data management.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including disinfecting play yards, and holding areas, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and basic care requirements, or a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels with patience and confidence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with pet owners and team members.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as our facility operates during extended hours.
