Salary Range

The salary for this position ranges from $40.00 to $80.00 per hour, plus available paid overtime. This figure is based on the base hourly rate and may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.

Job Summary

This Electric Field Test Specialist will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electrical power distribution equipment at customer sites. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Supervise trainees and technicians in the completion of electrical testing duties.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members in electrical testing procedures.
  • Conduct routine, moderately complex, and complex tasks and projects related to electrical system testing and maintenance.
  • Record-keeping, evaluation of test data, and preparation of field service reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical testing.
  • Strong background in electrical safety standards, including NFPA70E.
  • Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards.
  • NETA certified Level 2, 3, IV or NICET equivalent experience.
