Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
- Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to physician preference cards.
- Test and monitor equipment for proper working condition.
- Document records and other forms accurately, adhering to approved policies and procedures.
- Confirm that all persons in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
- Communicate information about patient status to other staff responsible for patient care.
- Perform required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology required.
- 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- BLS required within 30 days of start.
- State Radiology Technician license required.
