About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Technician 2 to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our GI Lab team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Partner with nurses and doctors to monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Train and oversee other technicians to ensure quality control and consistency.
  • Document patient data and prepare specimen slides for lab investigation.
  • Order supplies and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor equipment and create quality reports to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
