Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interdisciplinary Engineer to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our Supply Chain Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect our supply chain from potential threats.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Represent the Department of the Navy in external forums and meetings to promote our supply chain security efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience must demonstrate the following: As an engineer working across multiple disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electronics, and computer engineering) managing technical requirements and leading projects by evaluating and executing security engineering work and logistics support for a weapons systems program.
Education
  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
  • Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
