Job Opportunity

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our team in Kent and Federal Way. As a Medical Nutrition Therapist, you will work closely with Primary Care Providers, Health Educators, and other clinical team members to provide food and nutrition counseling to pediatric and adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients referred by Primary Care Providers
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to develop and implement nutrition plans
  • Conduct food and nutrition counseling sessions with patients and their families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and organizations to support patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition from an accredited university
  • Completed an accredited dietetic internship program or Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics
  • 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course
  • WA State Registration and Certification for Dietitian or RD/CD eligible
  • Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobin testing
  • Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required
  • Annual influenza vaccine required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in community nutrition setting with an interest in basic nutrition and childhood development
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in outpatient or similar nutrition setting
  • Experience with long term care programs
  • Current Adult/Pediatric CPR
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
