Academic Physiatrist

We are looking for a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist at JAG Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses, devising creative and effective treatment plans, and implementing a high-energy, positive-thinking environment to aid patients in achieving their goals.

• Collects and records patient care data, including patient history, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Prepares for evaluations, including obtaining patient history and researching unfamiliar diagnoses.
• Identifies need for consultations and/or refers patients to other healthcare professionals or services.
• Provides education and training to patients and their support systems.
• Develops and implements treatment plans, including exercise prescription and rehabilitation equipment training.
• Provides interventions to patients, including therapeutic exercise, joint mobilization, and modalities.
• Oversees support staff, including physical therapist assistants, athletic trainers, and physical therapy aides.
• Attends annual JAG Billing and Coding seminar.
• Promotes JAG Physical Therapy in the community through lectures and presentations.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate degree preferred.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state practicing in.
• Completed state-regulated CEU requirements in the appropriate state (NY, NJ).
• Valid CPR License.
• Experience/knowledge with EMR software preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as a team member and individually with minimal supervision.
