Job Summary and Qualifications

The Critical Care Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this role will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

  • This position requires advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Registered Nurse Diploma is required, along with current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Responsibilities

The Critical Care Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participating in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • SUPPORTING A PATIENT-FIRST PHILOSOPHY AND ENGAGING IN SERVICE RECOVERY WHEN NECESSARY.
