Job Description:The Woodstock Inn & Resort is seeking a skilled swim coach to lead our junior swim program. Our resort, nestled in the picturesque village of Woodstock, Vermont, offers a unique blend of luxury and natural beauty. As a swim coach, you will have the privilege of shaping young minds and helping them develop a lifelong passion for swimming.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to meet the specific needs and abilities of each child.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Club Director to schedule classes and ensure efficient operation of the aquatic program.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
- Regularly assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support their development outside of the pool.
Requirements:
- CPR/First Aid and AED certification are essential for this role.
- National Swim Coach Certification is required, along with prior experience teaching swim lessons.
- Lifeguard certification is highly desirable, as is the ability to communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable staying in the water for extended periods (1-3 hours per day) and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures is necessary, as is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation and Benefits:
