Job Summary:

The Faith Regional Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and dispensing physician medication orders, supervising Pharmacy Technicians, and providing clinical services throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and dispense physician medication orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients.
  • Supervise and train Pharmacy Technicians to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide clinical services throughout the hospital, including home medication reconciliation, discharge reconciliation, and medication education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal medication management.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to antimicrobial stewardship, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent pharmacy on various committees as needed and/or assigned, promoting collaboration and communication among healthcare teams.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • Current Registered Pharmacist license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within one full month from date of hire required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within one year from date of hire (only for inpatient staff) required.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in field preferred.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours and weekends as necessary, is essential.
