Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, a leading provider of healthcare services. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Review medication therapy and ensure it is appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, utilizing your expertise in pharmacology and patient care.
  • Evaluate medication orders, accurately and safely compound medications, and package and dispense pre-manufactured dosage forms, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Identify and consult on possible drug interactions, providing expert guidance to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Provide education or in-services on rational medication therapy and medication procedures to healthcare professionals, students, patients, or the public as needed, promoting best practices in patient care.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of pharmacy technician personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge pertaining to facility utilization of automated dispensing processes, staying up-to-date on the latest technology and innovations in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist Certificate and current renewal certification issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy, showcasing your academic achievement and expertise in the field.
  • Texas IV certification, indicating your proficiency in administering intravenous medications.
  • BLS certification, demonstrating your ability to respond to emergency situations and provide critical care.
