Job Summary: Dignity Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician with fellowship training or experience in medical simulation to join our faculty as an Academic Simulation Medicine Faculty member.
About the Role: As an Academic Simulation Medicine Faculty member, you will work with trainees at St. Joseph's Medical Center, providing clinical and didactic education on an ongoing basis. You will also work clinically as an attending physician in the St. Joseph's Emergency Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and didactic education to trainees at St. Joseph's Medical Center
- Work clinically as an attending physician in the St. Joseph's Emergency Department
- Collaborate with the simulation team to develop and implement simulation-based education programs
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational materials and curricula
- Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of simulation-based education programs
Requirements:
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Fellowship training or experience in medical simulation or a related field
- Experience working in a simulation-based education environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
