This part-time position involves visiting clients' homes to care for their pets, including walking, feeding, and providing companionship. As a Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the pets' physical and emotional well-being while their owners are away.


Pet Sitter Responsibilities:

  • Visit clients' homes to care for their pets
  • Walk pets as requested
  • Feed pets as requested
  • Provide litter box and/or cage clean up as required
  • Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
  • Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets
  • Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes
  • Communicate with Management

Pet Sitter Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Northern VA residence within 7 miles of 22301 is preferred
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation
  • Must have a reliable smartphone with internet access and data plan
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow instructions
  • Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
  • Must be timely and punctual
  • Must be able to self-manage
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be compassionate about animals
  • Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
  • Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to make at least a 6-month commitment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

This is a part-time supplemental income position with a competitive hourly rate of $24-$28 per hour, plus tips. We encourage LGBTQ and POC individuals to apply.
