Job Summary

This position provides high-quality care to assigned residents in a compassionate, safe, and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of all residents on admission and on an ongoing basis, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation).
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other procedures within defined time frames, utilizing appropriate infection control procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of resident care, including glucometer testing and control monitoring.
  • Implement specific approaches to deal with resident behavior, enhancing their mood state according to their care plan.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and corrective procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Prior work experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Maintains required certification/qualifications and associated standards.
  • Licensure for the state of practice is required.
Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic nursing skills and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of medications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
