Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Treatment Specialist to join our team at Siena Francis House. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a residential setting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate program activities, including transportation to and from AA meetings and other off-unit approved activities.
  • Monitor residential facilities for safety and provide monitoring of client behaviors and consequences.
  • Assist with self-administered medications and conduct room inspections.
  • Support and track client attendance of 12-step meetings and other groups.
  • Conduct urinalysis drug screens and participate in intakes, including initial screenings and orientations.
  • Collaborate with counselors and intake/employment training specialists to provide comprehensive support to program participants.
  • Develop and implement recovery skills training and hold participants accountable for their progress.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the residential program.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations and recognize signs/symptoms of common behavioral health issues.
  • Capacity to work with diverse populations and all levels of people within the workplace.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be organized with extreme attention to detail.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds, and talking and hearing.
Education and Experience
  • Previous experience working with clients suffering from substance abuse addiction and/or mental illness.
  • High School degree or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Clean driving record and Nebraska's license.
  • Basic computer skills required.
