We are looking for a Freelance Sports Content Creator to produce event-driven and promotional content supporting initiatives around Sports Betting & iGaming. This role will focus on creating content specific to sports betting, casinos, sweepstakes, and lottery, averaging approximately 20 hours per week with variable hours based on seasonality.
The pay rate for this position is $18 - $20 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging articles daily, including editing and daily metrics tracking to ensure content meets goals.
- Develop a strong understanding of SEO principles and apply them to drive significant and sustainable revenue through best journalistic practices.
- Collaborate with our innovative team to grow the brand and expand journalistic skillsets.
Requirements
- Experience in sports writing and/or online wagering content creation.
- Familiarity with commerce and affiliate marketing or revenue-generating initiatives.
- Passion for informing readers, building audiences, and generating revenue.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently under deadline pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in journalism, English, communications, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of journalism experience with proven reporting and writing abilities.
- Experience building, maintaining, and engaging active audiences.
- Strong knowledge of news writing, journalism ethics, and story structure.
- Proficiency in search engine optimization practices and social media utilization.
