About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Adult Learning Instructor to join our team at South Puget Sound Community College. As an Adult Learning Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering instruction for non-credit courses, with a focus on Adult Learning Theory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop course activities and materials to meet the learning objectives of our Adult Learning Theory course
  • Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies that promote the affective, cognitive, and kinesthetic domains of learning
  • Be available to teach classes on a variety of days and times
Qualifications
  • Current knowledge of research-based Adult Learning Theories
  • Experience and ability to teach others how to deliver and develop instruction for in-person, online, and on-demand courses
  • Evidence of teaching experience or potential
  • Commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years of teaching or training in a corporate/professional setting
