Job Summary

The School Nutrition Lunchroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school cafeteria, ensuring the provision of healthy and nutritious meals to students. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage work schedules for cafeteria staff
  • Screen and hire new staff members as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Supervise the ordering and receipt of food products
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ServSafe certification required within first year of employment
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people preferred
Performance Factors
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
