Position Overview:


The Emory University School of Medicine/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is on the lookout for outstanding physicians to fill full-time faculty roles at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels.


In anticipation of a new 430+ bed hospital, we are eager to expand our team.

The upcoming state-of-the-art facility, spanning 1.5 million square feet, will provide a centralized location in Atlanta for comprehensive outpatient and inpatient specialty care, including endoscopy, liver transplant, and research coordination.We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

• General Gastroenterology

• Intestinal Rehabilitation, Multi-Visceral Transplant, and Nutrition

• Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders

The role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, along with the opportunity to educate colleagues, fellows, residents, and medical students.

The Division is actively involved in a diverse array of clinical and research initiatives, such as:

• Aerodigestive
• Eosinophilic GI diseases
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
• Intestinal rehabilitation
• Weight management and wellness
• Feeding disorders
• Autism
• Fatty liver disease
• Cholestatic and genetic liver diseases
• Biliary atresia
• Endoscopy and advanced endoscopy
• Pancreatic disorders
• Liver transplantation.

The Division comprises 18 clinical faculty members, 2 Clinical Psychologists, and 6 research PhDs.

Our program excels in hepatology and IBD, with members participating in national consortiums such as:
• ICN
• ChiLDReN
• PUSH
• NASH CRN
• SPLIT
• RISK
• PROTECT
• CAPTURE
and various industry-supported trials.

Research initiatives linked to the Division are housed within two dedicated Centers.


We take pride in our exceptional training program, which includes an NIDDK-supported T32 Training Program and a fellowship in transplant hepatology.

Our Fellowship Training Program has recently expanded to accommodate 3 fellows annually, offering remarkable clinical and research opportunities.
