Job Summary

The PrideStaff team is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the assembly of wired panels according to established production quality standards and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and Wire Electrical Components: Assemble and wire electrical components and equipment according to engineering specifications.
  • Cut and Prepare Wires: Cut wire to specify lengths using wire cutters, then strip, bend, and mount wires to connect electrical units or devices within the component pan, enclosure, and/or other equipment.
  • Connect Wiring and Accessories: Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using hand tools.
  • Inspect and Test Wiring: Perform spot inspections throughout the process to ensure work is performed correctly the first time and that the job remains on schedule according to established due dates.
  • Label and Secure Wiring: Finish wiring and labeling in a neat and workman-like manner. Route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal point and equipment. Ensure all wiring is properly labeled, terminated, and secured.
  • Communicate Effectively: Work effectively with supervisors and leads to ensure jobs are completed accurately and within a timely manner. Effectively and accurately communicate any potential nonconformance within schematics, cabinet assembly, and/or point to point wiring within a timely manner to ensure a solution can be applied within the time frame of the project.
  • Enter Job Production Details: Enter job production details and labor entries within the company's Global Shop system.
  • Maintain Production Area: Maintain production area integrity, cleanliness, and organization according to established standards.
Requirements
  • Reading Comprehension: Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble electrical systems and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or conduit using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
  • Wiring and Cable Installation: Run wire and cable according to schematics and blueprints.
  • Component Repair and Replacement: Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Drilling and Tapping: Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan, review work activities, or to resolve production problems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.
  • Inventory Management: Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
Qualifications
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, dexterity and attention to detail, strong sense of self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills, ability to meet the physical demands of the job, availability to occasionally work overtime.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in wiring or installing electrical control/relay panels preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma.
