Your Responsibilities
- Receive service requests from the Service Resource Center, including a brief overview of equipment/system issues.
- Engage with customer representatives to identify equipment/system challenges.
- Diagnose issues and conduct service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at client locations.
- Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins for repairs.
- Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by maintaining communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding via communication devices, such as smartphones and laptops.
- Secure customer signatures upon completion of service assignments.
- Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation.
- Assist in training or mentoring fellow service team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Seek
Essential
- 10+ years of proven experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
- Valid Fire Alarm License.
- Experience in interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
- Familiarity with test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in various positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet client needs.
- Overnight travel may be necessary.
- Exhibit a high level of customer service.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure prompt responses to client requests.
- Adhere to, implement, and follow safety protocols and procedures consistently.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn swiftly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
- Pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Maintain any licenses required by National, State, and Local regulations.

- NICET Level II certification.
