Warehouse Logistics Coordinator

The Material Handler is a key member of our team at Satellite Shelters, Inc. | Satellite Industries, Inc., responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout our manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate a lift truck, performing daily inspections and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
• Unload inbound freight and move materials to designated storage areas, including bulk and stock rooms.
• Participate in the receiving process, counting and verifying pack slips, and entering data into our X3 system.
• Supply and move materials required by various manufacturing operations, including raw materials, formed parts, work-in-progress, and storage.
• Prepare LTL shipments according to pick lists, packaging materials properly to prevent damage and loss.
• Assist in manual loading of knockdown trucks and unit shipments.
• Respond to demand lights to minimize equipment downtime and notify the supervisor of quality issues or damaged product.
• Manually move materials as needed to assist other employees and maintain pull cards according to instructions.
• Maintain a clean lift truck and move finished units to their designated locations.
Requirements
• Must pass and maintain a lift truck license.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and visually identify colors.
• Complete production paperwork legibly and use hand tools, such as box knives, banders, stretch wrap, drills, and routers.
• Use data entry devices, including scanners and computers, as required.
Work Environment
This role operates in both manufacturing and warehouse settings, exposing the employee to varying temperatures and noise levels. The use of hearing protection is required in certain areas, and the employee must follow lift truck driving guidelines, including speed control and pedestrian safety. Gloves are used to protect hands from sharp edges, and the occasional use of box knives, banding devices, and brooms is necessary.
