Position Overview:

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering technical engineering support to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards. This position requires advanced expertise and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers on various projects.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
  • Review and process equipment and system submittals.
  • Facilitate coordination among architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines.
  • Oversee the design of power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
  • Manage the preparation of power system diagrams and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct short circuit and over-current protection studies.
  • Analyze distribution systems for voltage drop and other parameters.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical conditions.
  • Utilize engineering analysis tools to evaluate system performance.
  • Engage in value engineering to optimize construction costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align design with budget and timelines.
  • Resolve design conflicts and installation issues.
  • Generate comprehensive project specifications.
  • Develop operational sequences for all designed systems.
  • Ensure compliance with testing and commissioning protocols.
  • Review technical documents and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare documentation for building commissioning.
  • Address complex design challenges and provide solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer licensure is required.
  • Field experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 50% travel may be required for project-related activities.

Working Conditions:
