Position Overview
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for delivering a curriculum that is developmentally suitable for the designated age group. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children.
  • Maintain an organized and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Exemplify strong leadership qualities to boost team performance and achieve program objectives.

Educational Requirements
  • Associate Degree: Required in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Bachelor Degree: Preferred in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience Requirements
  • General experience in a related teaching position with young children or completion of a teaching practicum is required.
  • Knowledge of DHS regulations and PA Early Learning Standards is essential.
  • Familiarity with Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Ounce Scale, and Work Sampling is preferred.
  • Understanding of Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) standards and NAEYC Standards is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications
Within 90 days of hire, completion of the following is required:
  • Get Started with Center-based Care: Building Blocks for Quality
  • Pediatric First Aid CPR
  • Mandated Reporter Training (to be maintained every 5 years)
  • Fire Safety Training (required within a year of hire)
