Field Engineering Technician

CTL Thompson, Inc. is currently in search of a dedicated Engineering Technician for full-time employment. This role will be based in our Silverthorne, CO office and involves conducting field and laboratory observations, tests, and inspections on various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Technician, you will:
- Engage with project managers, contractors, and other engineering technicians to ensure effective communication at the project site.
- Collect and transport sample specimens to the laboratory for further analysis, ensuring accurate reporting on a daily basis.
- Maintain and clean company vehicles, equipment, and work areas as necessary.
- Assist field managers with additional assignments as required.
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards at all times.
Compensation and Benefits:
The selected candidate will be eligible for a signing bonus of a 2024/2025 Ski Season Epic Pass, contingent upon at least six months of active full-time employment.
Compensation for Engineering Technicians varies based on experience:
- Engineering Technician I: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Engineering Technician II: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
- Engineering Technician III: $23.00 - $36.00 per hour

Training and Development:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Engineering Technician I: None
Engineering Technician II and III: Training field staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Engineering Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent, job-related certifications preferred.
Engineering Technician II: High school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years of relevant experience, and a minimum of 2 applicable certifications.
Engineering Technician III: High school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of relevant experience, and a minimum of 3 applicable certifications.
Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in outdoor field environments, exposing employees to various weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment are routinely utilized.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and navigate construction sites with uneven terrain. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Employment offers are contingent upon verification of work authorization in the United States and satisfactory completion of a drug test. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are also required.
