Job Overview:

As a Pastry Artist, you will be responsible for crafting, decorating, and selling a variety of baked goods, including cakes, cupcakes, pastries, and more. Your artistic skills will be essential in creating visually appealing products that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create an assortment of cakes and pastry items, adhering to company standards and customer specifications.
• Engage with customers to take orders, ensuring timely completion and satisfaction.
• Maintain a welcoming and friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
• Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer experience.
• Ensure the bakery maintains a high standard of quality and freshness.
• Manage product freshness by following proper coding and rotation procedures.
• Accurately package and price all baked goods in line with departmental guidelines.
• Handle cash register transactions, including processing payments and issuing change.
• Utilize decorating tools and equipment proficiently to create beautiful baked items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and sales counter.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of one year of experience in cake decorating.

Skills Required:

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic math for pricing and transactions.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
