Job Specialty: Medical Nursing
We are seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Medical Nursing Specialist, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments and re-assessments per policy for young adult, adult, and elderly patients.
- Deliver individualized, age-specific care ensuring hemeostatic regulation and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, and response assessments.
- Treat patients and families with dignity, respect, and confidentiality, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Collaborate with patients and families to create and adjust individualized care plans daily.
- Formulate and evaluate teaching plans for patients and families based on identified learning needs.
- Supervise healthcare staff involved in patient care, allocating and monitoring their work.
- Assist physicians in procedures, demonstrating knowledge and support of medical interventions.
- Respond to workload changes promptly, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Engage in performance improvement activities, enhancing patient outcomes and work environments.
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees, supporting their orientation and integration.
- Enhance professional growth through educational programs, literature review, meetings, and workshops.
- Maintain operation of patient care equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cost-effective supply use.
- Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and the ability to function under stress.
- Perform housekeeping duties and patient transportation when needed.
- Adhere to dress code and comply with safety, infection control, and personnel guidelines.
- Serve as a team leader and role model for fellow staff members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years required, 5 years preferred travel experience.
- RN license required.
- CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG certifications required.
- Competency in cardiac monitoring/intervention, sedation, pain management, chest tube care/insertion, medication administration, pre and post-cardiac cath care, total parenteral nutrition/partial parenteral nutrition, central lines, specialized IV drips and titration, transfusion therapy.
- Proficiency in infection control and documentation.
- Ability to educate and guide patients.
