Job Title: Structural Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AE&C) firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing structural systems for various building types, including residential and commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create detailed structural designs for buildings and other structures using industry-standard software.
  • Design steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structural systems to meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform structural analysis to ensure the stability and strength of structures.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other design professionals to coordinate project designs.
  • Attend project meetings and site visits to understand client needs and project goals.

Technical Documentation and Project Management:

  • Prepare structural design drawings, specifications, and calculations for project engineers to review and approve.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and engineering principles.
  • Assist the lead engineer and project manager in planning, scheduling, and managing project timelines and budgets.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's license
  • Clean Background check
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required
  • 2+ years of experience in structural design
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
