Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Warehouse Clerk to join our team at Mid-State Machine. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and equipment throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of deliveries by checking bills of lading.
  • Move materials to and from storage or production areas, or delivery vehicles, using hand tools or forklifts.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Organize storage areas to ensure safety and quick access to materials.
  • Mark materials with identifying tags and information.
  • Read work orders or receive instructions to determine material or equipment needs.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Notify the project manager immediately of any inventory discrepancies.
  • Follow established protocols for inspecting, testing, and maintaining tools.
  • Inspect, clean, repair, and test all tooling and equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic material handling knowledge and experience required.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary (Monday - Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm) and overtime occasional overtime may be required.
  • This position is safety sensitive in nature, which means employees perform duties so fraught with risks of injury to self or others, or environmental injury, that even a momentary lapse of concentration or attention can have disastrous consequences.
  • The working environment is often in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

Physical Requirements:

Talk/Hear: Required to effectively communicate with team members, receive instructions, report issues, and ensure safety protocols are followed in a busy and often noisy environment.
Stand/Sit: Frequently required to efficiently perform tasks such as operating forklifts, managing inventory, and organizing materials while maintaining awareness of their surroundings for safety.
Walk: Regularly required to transport materials between storage areas, deliver items to workstations, and conduct regular inventory checks throughout the warehouse.
Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Frequently required to handle tools, operate equipment, label materials, and perform detailed inventory tasks.
Climb: Occasionally required to access elevated storage areas, inspect equipment, and safely retrieve or organize materials stored at height.
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasionally required to access low storage areas, inspect equipment, and handle materials that are situated close to the ground.
See: Required to accurately read labels, identify materials, monitor inventory levels, and ensure a safe working environment by spotting potential hazards.
Carry, weight, Lift: Needed to transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout the warehouse, ensuring that items are efficiently moved to where they are needed.
Exposure to work: Regular exposure to industrial environments, including noise, machinery, and potential safety hazards.
