Key Responsibilities- Provide general medical care and treatment to inmates, including physical examinations, preventive health measures, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, including medication management and referrals to specialized health resources.
- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy as needed, and participate in the Quality Assurance/Risk Management/Infection Control/Utilization Management Program.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and treatment of inmates.
- Perform procedures such as venous access, wound management, and incision and drainage of abscesses.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Florida.
- Prior experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with inmates, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Competitive salary range: $53.88 - $69.98 per hour.
