As a Precision Mill Operator at UNION SPECIAL LLC, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of various milling machines, including manual models such as 0-8, 1224, and Bridge Ports. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Setup: Prepare and operate manual milling machines to meet production requirements.
- Adjustments: Modify machine settings including speed and feed to optimize performance.
- Tolerance Management: Execute milling processes to achieve precise tolerances.
- Tool Maintenance: Replace tools and components as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Machinery Care: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
- Material Handling: Accurately measure and feed raw materials into milling machines.
- Input Control: Manage the flow of materials and ore into the milling process.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality and quantity of the finished product.
- Workpiece Management: Remove and inspect workpieces to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Alignment Verification: Ensure proper alignment of workpieces on machines.
- Physical ability to perform various motions including stretching, bending, lifting, and squatting.
- Capability to regularly lift weights up to 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience working with coolants in a machining environment.
- Familiarity with gauging tools such as micrometers, height gauges, and calipers.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and adherence to industry regulations are essential.
