About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in patient education and support the development of individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean environment by maintaining patient rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • 1 year of hospital and telemetry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
