Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently prepares examination rooms and readies patients for assessments and procedures.
- Assists healthcare providers during examinations and procedures as per their preferences.
- Conducts thorough evaluations of patient symptoms, reactions, and overall health, documenting findings in medical records.
- Records vital signs and other necessary measures according to office protocols.
- Coordinates tests, admissions, and other patient services with local hospitals and facilities as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provides instructions and educational support regarding special tests, procedures, or health modifications as per provider orders.
- Aids healthcare providers with specialized treatments, including gynecological exams, minor surgical procedures, and specimen preparation.
- Conducts office laboratory tasks, which may involve specimen collection, testing, and documentation.
- Manages all aspects of prescription refills, including retrieving messages, reviewing charts, and communicating with pharmacies.
- Supports clinical associates with immunizations, lab draws, and other necessary duties.
- May require occasional travel to other locations within the service area.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, BSN).
Licensure:
- Valid RN license in Indiana or another state with endorsement in Indiana. CPR certification is mandatory. ACLS and NRP certifications are required for Pediatric Clinic roles.
Experience:
- A minimum of six months of current experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience across various clinical areas is advantageous.
