Role Responsibilities:
- Uphold the organization's philosophy of care and program objectives
- Coordinate and provide quality general and psychiatric nursing services to patients
- Ensure adherence to medical directives, initiating and following through on treatment plans
- Serve as a patient advocate at all times.
Qualifications:
Requirements include:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program- Current, unrestricted nursing license from the State Board of Nursing
- CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient interaction.
Preferred Experience:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting, particularly with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients- Experience in conducting patient assessments, motivating families, developing treatment plans, and communicating with external review organizations or similar entities.
