Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at John Soules Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate high-pressure steam boiler and ammonia refrigeration system
  • Maintain and repair vacuum/gear/rotor and water pumps
  • Operate and maintain industrial air compressor, including disassembly and repair
  • Walk plant facility to monitor refrigeration, boiler, air, and water systems, document findings, and correct abnormal conditions
  • Participate in process safety management team
  • Use computer to work on multiple applications, including SAP, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Review service requests for repairs and maintenance, determine nature of problem, and recommend appropriate solution
Requirements
  • 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics experience
  • 1 year experience with ammonia refrigeration
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb rung ladders
  • Ability to kneel and squat to work on equipment
  • Ability to turn valves
  • Extensive walking in and around facility making rounds
