We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Memory Engineering to join our team at AMD. As a key contributor to the success of our product portfolio, you will be responsible for leading a global memory controller team in developing state-of-the-art IP for server, datacenter, and consumer/enterprise markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Grow a Global Memory Controller Team: Develop and implement strategies to drive innovation and excellence in memory controller design and development.
  • Drive Micro-Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions for solving end-to-end product and time-to-market challenges.
  • Project Planning and Management: Proactively plan, develop, and maintain schedules, manage dependencies, and ensure quality of work at committed milestones.
  • Customer and Partner Collaboration: Work directly with customers and partners to ensure their memory solutions meet industry best requirements.
  • Metrics and Communication: Develop and implement metrics and communication mechanisms to enable continuous improvements in execution and faster decision-making at the management and executive levels.
  • Organization Design and Leadership: Collaborate with global leadership to design a high-quality and scalable organization to meet growing market needs.
  • Staff Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support their growth and development.
Preferred Experience
  • Engineering Management and Technical Leadership: Proven experience in leading engineering teams and driving technical innovation.
  • End-to-End Product Life Cycle: Experience in managing the entire product life cycle from concept to production.
  • Controller-PHY Interactions and VIP Vendors: Experience with controller-PHY interactions and working with VIP vendors is highly desirable.
  • DDR and LPDDR Interfaces and Controllers: Experience with DDR and LPDDR interfaces and controllers is highly desirable.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of engineering fields and management.
  • Technological Expertise: Solid understanding of the technologies, capabilities, and challenges involved in memory systems.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Experience in driving and collaborating with global teams.
Academic Credentials

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
