Pediatric Pulmonary Nurse Coordinator

Washington University is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Pulmonary Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients with Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary Medicine throughout the continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients. Conduct health histories and physical examinations, and convey findings to physicians.
- Pulmonary Function Testing: Perform basic spirometry in the pediatric pulmonary function lab at offsite ambulatory locations and communicate results with providers.
- Patient Coordination: Coordinate patient care, order diagnostic tests, coordinate patient appointments, and assist with referrals to outside sources.
- Administrative Duties: Perform a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance.
- Liaison Role: Act as a liaison by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and health team members. Explain routines and procedures to patients and coordinate patient care information to appropriate sources.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment.
- Experience: 2 years of Pediatric pulmonary nursing experience.
- Certifications: Asthma educator certification.
- Experience with Epic: Prior Epic experience.
- Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $105,700 per year.
