Job Summary

Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of RN On-Call Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering, directing, and coordinating inter- and intra-departmental activities in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital, nursing and education services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate inter- and intra-departmental activities to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state.
  • BLS required. ACLS preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months.
  • Certification in area of expertise preferred.
  • 1 year RN in acute care setting or experience as circulating RN preferred.
