Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Nebraska Pain Institute. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for preparing patients for x-ray procedures, explaining the process to patients and their families, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for x-ray procedures, including positioning and explaining the process to patients and their families.

  • Operate x-ray equipment, adjusting controls and determining proper voltage and exposure time to ensure high-quality images.

  • Practice radiation protection and safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and medical staff.

  • Document procedures performed in patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

  • Maintain a clean and organized x-ray room and equipment, ordering supplies as needed.

  • Perform x-ray quality assurance tests and maintain records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Report any equipment problems or issues to the physician and Office Supervisor, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technologist program.

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
