Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team at Ochsner Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient progress.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for addressing them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- IV therapy credentials (preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
