Responsibilities
The Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining knowledge of and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Performing daily cleaning of all occupied rooms to ensure a sanitary environment for patients.
  • Preparing discharge units and surgical areas, ensuring thorough end-of-day cleaning in procedure rooms.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in public and office areas, including hard surface and carpeted flooring, and managing waste disposal.
  • Responding promptly to spills and breakages to mitigate safety hazards.
  • Completing special assignments as directed and reporting to supervisors upon completion.
  • Understanding and adhering to security protocols for medications and IV solutions.
  • Restocking supplies and managing linen distribution to support patient care.

Qualifications
Required:
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Basic understanding of safety and sanitation protocols.
