Concentra is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients by performing routine x-ray examinations and supporting medical procedures under the direct supervision of a treating clinician.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visits.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred.
