The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.   • Providing safe and effective patient care
  • Communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Leading patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
  • Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid state RN license
  • A current BLS certificate
  • A current ACLS certificate
  • A current PALS certificate and/or ENPC
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation
  • A minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Some facilities may require additional certifications or training, including:

  • In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire
  • EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire
