JOB SUMMARY:

The Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist at the Electrophysiology Lab works closely with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate both invasive and non-invasive electrophysiology interventions utilizing advanced technology, prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

This role involves the operation and upkeep of specialized physiological systems, assisting physicians during procedures, and participating in departmental activities. Effective communication and thorough documentation are critical, alongside involvement in initiatives aimed at process enhancement.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Full-Time

WORK LOCATION:
Designated Health Facilities with potential travel to various locations

DEPARTMENT:
Cardiology

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with opportunities for weekend volunteering and optional overtime

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Skilled in the setup, operation, and maintenance of electrophysiological apparatus.
  • Conducts daily quality assurance checks on equipment and accurately interprets intracardiac data.
  • Proficient in ECG analysis, arrhythmia identification, and maintaining sterile conditions.
  • Maintains precise records of invasive procedures.
  • Engages in electrophysiology procedures including Pacemaker and AICD implantations, cardioversions, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium Work - Involves occasional exertion of force and frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

COMPENSATION:
$18.50 per hour
The base compensation is subject to variation based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
