NHT Logistics, Inc. is a family-owned trucking and cold storage enterprise dedicated to excellence in the transportation of goods across the Mid-Atlantic region. We are currently seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to become a vital part of our team. The successful candidate will be required to work one of the following shifts, Monday through Friday: noon to 8:00 pm, midnight to 8:00 am, or 4:00 pm to midnight.

Position Overview:
The Fleet Mechanic is accountable for the repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers as assigned by the Shop Manager. This role demands a commitment to NHT's mission, vision, and core values, ensuring these principles are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical, mechanical, air, and hydraulic systems
· Assess equipment for safety concerns
· Acquire proficiency in Emdecs Kona fleet management software
· Document detailed reports of work performed and repairs conducted
· Utilize tools safely and effectively
· Operate lifting equipment and jack stands responsibly
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment
· Adapt to changing work schedules and urgent situations
· Work independently within the shop
· Learn new service, maintenance, and repair techniques

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED / equivalent experience
· Prior experience as a Mechanic
· Basic knowledge and skills in diesel and trailer mechanics

Physical Requirements:
The Fleet Mechanic position may involve extended periods of standing and lifting heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. The work environment can be busy and noisy, requiring excellent organizational, time management, and stress management skills to handle multiple projects and interruptions effectively.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts from noon to 8:00 pm, midnight to 8:00 am, or 4:00 pm to midnight.
