Coder Abstractor II

We are seeking a skilled Coder Abstractor II to join our team at TidalHealth. As a Coder Abstractor II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient health information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply diagnostic and procedural codes to patient health information accounts
• Ensure accurate data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing
• Adhere to Medical Center policies and procedures, as well as AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding
• Utilize ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, ICD-10-PCS inpatient procedure coding, and CPT-4 outpatient procedure coding
• Experience with Epic electronic health record and 3m 360 encoder preferred

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology courses
• CCS Certification through AHIMA required within two years of employment
• Experience with reviewing hospital facility accounts and ICD-10 coding

Benefits:

• Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period, and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits

Salary Range: $26.92-$41.72 commensurate with experience
