About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Centers for Neurosurgery Spine & Orthopedics.

As a medical assistant in this clinical and administrative role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care and support to our doctors and staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

Key responsibilities include taking accurate vital signs, entering medications, collecting specimens, maintaining EMR systems, prioritizing tasks, and assisting physicians during examinations.

You will also be responsible for pre- and post-procedure instructions, processing paperwork, making calls to pharmacies, hospitals, and labs, and maintaining confidentiality of private healthcare information.

In addition, you will handle reception duties, including check-in processes, collecting copays, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in medical assistance, with experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery being a plus.

Required skills include 2+ years of medical assistant experience, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency with computers and data-entry software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and EMR systems.

A medical assistant certification is also essential for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
